Protecting the Luss Lily

Making sure there are always Luss lilies in Luss this school prepared and held a ‘Plant Week’, organised by students.  ‘Plant Week’ involved all sorts of activities including drawing, painting, making graphs, writing, maths and science.  The main purpose of this week was to learn all about plants and how to take care of them, from taking cuttings and learning about propagation to seed dispersal and plant identification.

The Luss Lily is one of a kind and can only be found in a small patch of garden at Luss Church.  To preserve this vulnerable flower and preserve its rich heritage and history Luss Primary are now embarking on a mission to protect the Luss Lily and make sure it always grows in Luss!
