In this brilliant project, the children decided that they wanted to improve their school grounds. They decided to give their grounds a theme and chose the traditional Gaelic folk tale, making special areas based on characters and scenes from the story. They also wrote their own version of the story and were given fantastic feedback by an author.
YPTE Director Peter Littlewood says: ‘We loved the way that the children’s work on the school grounds took its inspiration from folklore, keeping the old traditions very much in their minds. They have created school grounds full of interest and wonder for years to come.’
