Water Awareness Week

Earlier this year, Euxton St Mary's School took part in Water Awareness Week.  The children produced some fantastic work during the week and learnt about the importance of water - for people, plants and transport.  It was great to see the different ways that the theme of water had been used to create fantastic artwork such as a bottle top canvas, bubble art and watercolour paintings.  The children also wrote some lovely water poems, rhymes and prayers which expressed their understanding of the importance of water for us all.  They studied countries in Africa where getting clean water is a daily struggle and looked at the work being done by Water Aid and CAFOD to help these areas.  Through their participation in Water Awareness Week, the children of Euxton St Mary's School have clearly learnt a great deal and have produced some wonderful creative work.
