The children of Brookmead School have taken part in an exciting whole-school art project this year. Each year group focused on a different aspect of their local environment and used it as inspiration for their artwork. Together with parents, they also created an art installation entitled ‘Log Life’, which stood alongside local artists who were displaying their work as part of the Bucks Open Studios. The project culminated in a whole-school art gallery, located in the school hall and the Forest School, celebrating every child’s artwork. This was a wonderful way of increasing children’s appreciation of their local environment and engaging the wider community in the natural world around us.
