Our Oceans Need a Sea Change

A whole school focus week during June 2018 made Lutley Primary School's pupils very aware and concerned about the problems that plastic pollution is causing on a global scale. Through a series of amazing lessons spanning a wide range of Curriculum topics, the children researched the issue, debated the problems around plastic, wrote emotively and persuasively and made artwork to express how they felt. The school hosted a conference for local schools on World Oceans Day and has resolved to work towards reducing or recycling all single-use plastic within school.
