This project was inspired by a visit the children made to view their local wind turbines. They made their own wind turbine models and held a class debate, to decide whether or not more wind turbines should be installed locally. The debate resulted in a resounding win for the pro-turbine lobby.
YPTE Director, Peter Littlewood, says: “We loved the children’s debate! They did a great job of expressing the arguments for and against this often controversial form of renewable energy. We were very pleased that the children decided in favour of more sustainable energy production for the future.”
