St Saviours CE Junior School Regional Winner 2014, Totally Active - Wales & West

This project told us all about the school’s journey to becoming fully-fledged chicken keepers!  From all the efforts to clear the site for the chickens coop to the health and safety aspects of keeping chickens, we learned of the highs and lows and the brilliant success that the chicken project has become.  The children have acquired all kinds of new knowledge from their experiences and their learning will filter through to the children’s families and will hopefully affect some of their decision making as adults to the benefit of the environment.
