YPTE Director, Peter Littlewood, said: “It was very unusual to see research on different kinds of energy being done by such young children.  The school’s six and seven year-olds now have a really firm grasp on the advantages and disadvantages of renewable and non-renewable energy.  The project ended with the children writing letters to the Governors, Headteacher and parents requesting that solar panels should be installed at the school.  Hopefully their prize money might be put towards making this a reality. ”
