Loughborough C of E Primary School Special Award 2016, Totally Clued Up - South/ Central

Loughborough CE Primary School took part in the Trash Trek project.  The children had the challenge of investigating a problem that affected the environment, finding an innovative solution and sharing it with others. They chose to look at the problem of disposable cups and their impact on the environment. The children carried out some impressively thorough research on the effects that disposable cups have on the environment and the possible solutions.  They followed this up by writing letters to a number of coffee shop chains, proposing the increased use of reusable cups that are also recyclable..  A huge well done to the children of Loughborough CE Primary School for investigating a growing environmental problem and addressing it with an excellent solution.
