Have You Heard About Our Herd?

Sandfield Close Primary School has used its fantastic creativity to raise awareness of two environmental themes - the importance of recycling and the need to protect endangered species around the world.  Every child made an elephant from recycled materials and this led to community groups and other schools also deciding to design and make their own recycled elephants.  Each child in the school then researched at least one endangered animal and shared their findings.  The project has been so successful that the school has been invited to 'take over' a city centre store on Environment Day, to showcase their recycled elephants and their research on endangered animals. Huge congratulations to Sandfield Close Pirmary School for raising awareness of two very important environmental isssues and for doing so in such a creative way!
