Our School Garden

It is fantastic to see that outdoor learning is at the heart of school life at Leys Farm Junior School. The children have been learning about the importance of pollinating insects and wildlife and how to care for them. They have also had the opportunity to grow their own fruit and vegetables and use them to create healthy dishes for their school lunches. There are some fabulous garden areas at the school and the Shakespeare garden - with its Tudor bug hotel - is particularly impressive!   This project shows what can be achieved by a committed group of young people who are very much involved in developing and looking after their outdoor areas.
