Green Tweed Eco is a whole-school programme of enjoyable and meaningful outdoor and classroom based activities designed to instil a love, understanding and respect for our natural surroundings. In so doing, it is hoped that the children will take greater joy from the countryside around them, place real value in its preservation and grow up to be passionate protectors of Scotland's wild places.
Pupils have been involved in creating lots of nest boxes, bird feeders etc. to put up in the school grounds and in the local community. Children and local volunteers have also worked together to clear a staggering 2.2 tonnes of rubbish from the River Tweed - an amazing achievement!
