Heswall Primary School used some of last year’s prize money,  to order t-shirts for all of the children, bearing the message '#heswalloceanblue- Take the Plastic Pledge’.   The t-shirts went on the children's summer holidays, with some taking their message as far as Australia and using social media to spread the word even more.

They wrote the script for a film 'A Planet Full of Plastic and How you Can Help' and invited children from five other schools to record it with them, so they could learn more about plastics too!   The film premiered at the Wirral Science Under the Stars event and over 1,200 people watched it in the school grounds.

After lockdown ends, the school intends to run an upcycling masterclass for children and parents to create things from plastic and other waste with local furniture makers and artists.
