Buxton in Bloom
After having help from a local secondary school and staff from a bank to clear a neglected area of the school grounds, the children of Buxton School set out to create a a fantastic garden area. And they succeeded! They now have a beautiful garden, with raised beds for growing lots of vegetables and a fire circle that can be used for outdoor learning. Through the summer holidays in 2022, children came to Forest School and helped to maintain the garden, learning and having fun at the same time. Lots of the vegetables were used for school meals, while others were donated to a local food bank. A new pond has now been created too and the garden looks amazing!
