Green Warriors

Pontlottyn Primary School’s Green Warriors have got the whole school involved with looking after their environment.  They have been very busy around the school grounds planting trees and flowers to attract bees and growing vegetables to sell.  They’ve also started composting fruit waste from classrooms and recycling paper and plastic.  Some of the Green Warriors have taken on important roles such as switching off lights, picking up rubbish and saving water.  The judges were very impressed with the range of environmental activities undertaken by the Green Warriors, together with their commitment and enthusiasm.  They are also doing a fantastic job of encouraging the rest of the school to look after the environment and live more sustainably.
